Wondering where we've been lately?
Gone fishin', of course.
The fish bites were a bit sparse, but the experience was the stuff of which summertime memories are made.

Digging worms, wading in mud, learning to cast with Grandpa. . .
It's the way summer ought to be spent.

Hi Erin, I'm a mum of four (about same ages as yours) on a cattle property in Australia. Pleased to see you back. Haven't long found your blog and believe we're living parallel lives in different hemispheres. Enjoy your Summer. We're enduring a particularly dry and warm Winter, Australian style.
Love your photos, as always, especially the first one. Glad to hear you're having an enjoyable summer.
Glad to see the kids had a nice day fishing with Grandpa.. Looks like you all had fun and made some great memories..

Fishing is a big part of our summer memories, too. (Except, most involve salt water!)
Know what jumped out at me in your pictures? The jackets everyone is wearing for summer pictures! Made me smile as we have had only a handful of days under 100 this summer. That's TX for ya!
Beautiful! Lovely! The joy of time without worries.

I was telling my son today that his favorite summer memories should Not in fact, be of his Playstation. I miss the country. :)
Blessings,
