They arrived today.
Two boxes. Fifty-two birds. Lots of chirping on the way home.
They stretched their legs,
had a drink,
grabbed a bite to eat,
and headed for the red light district.
It was a chilly day, and they needed some snuggling.
Happy chicks.
Happy kids.

They are so cute - if they just wouldn't grow up!
Looks like you got a variety of breeds... that will be fun to watch them change into their "big chicken" feathers.
I love to watch them when they stretch their little legs out behind them. They are super funny when they fall asleep too.
Your kids are going to have so much fun.
WE are all looking at your photo's of the baby chicks and want to hold one so badly! They are all so cute. God bless, Rose
I just found your blog and I'm SOOOOO glad I did! You've given me a glimpse into the life of a farm wife that beats any pre-conceived notion that it's romantic... LOL
Ever since I could read, my favorite thing of all time was the page in Encyclopedia Britanica titled "The Farmer's Wife"... wo romantic to get up at 5am and pick blackberries (in apron) to make syrup for breakfast for the men at 9 or so (their first break from the field, right?)
But it isn't all romaticized in real life- in real life you have more than an apron, you have such things as courage and fortitude. I adore you for sharing the 'reality' of your life there, but I have to say your life seems wonderful!!
Thank you,
Illoura
