On My Soapbox

If you are in the mood for an old-fashioned English teacher lecture, go ahead and click here to read my latest column in which I solve the country's problems.

Just be forewarned that it took quite a stepladder to reach the top of the soapbox I was standing on when I wrote it.

Excellent and concise and I wholeheartedly agree with all. I personnally "preach" all of that to whoever will listen. I especially like that you categorized your post "Common sense" which I believe it is. Why it is not commonly sensed is something I don't quite understand.

YES, great article. The declining character of those running our country, is so disheartening.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! I'll hold the ladder to your soap box any day. Are you SURE you don't want to run for public office? I'd campaign hard for you.

My son had a group of high school students over to our house last night for a study group. Without a long paragraph to detail the situation, let's just say that we observed a perfect example of a child raised with an exaggerated sense of entitlement and very little accountability. One of the outcomes of that raising? A compulsive liar!

It's all about integrity - what decision you'll make when you think no one else will know your choice.

Easter blessings, Erin!

I must nitpick. :-) The right of pursuit of happiness is not in the Bill of Rights either, at least not explicitly. It was Tom Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence: "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".
