Down and Out

DSC07157-2

We've been a bit under the weather around here.

This is what the stomach flu looks like at our house.

When there's one of me and four of them, it's just easier to congregate in one room with lots of towels, blankets, and buckets.

The only one around here who is more ready than I am to be over the stomach flu is my poor washing machine. I shudder to think of what has been through its hoses this week.

Most of us are now recovering.

Recovering is always easier with a little help from a friend.

Oh Dear. Never a good day when you've got to haul out the buckets. Sending prayers your way!

Oh my!! Glad to hear you are on the mend! That pic with kids and buckets brings back lots of memories. And not good ones either!! Poor babies.

I about needed a bucket myself when I read about the washing machine hoses!!! YIKES! LOL

I know I should not be laughing because it will surely come back to bite me in the butt, but that post is funny. Reminds me of the "Stomach flu of 2002" that hit our family. It's been 6 years and I still shudder at that thought! Hope everything gets better.

At least it was all at once, rather than spread out. Somehow it seems easier that way. Thank goodness for buckets! Trying to get small ones to a toilet usually doesn't work.

Oh, no... so sorry you've all been ill. I hope mom was able to avoid it.

Love your "plan" for dealing with it!

Blessings!

Oh my, what an ordeal. That last pic with Charlie speaks volumes. He misses his playmate. Glad you're all on the mend.

I hate to think how mothers handled this before washing machines.

Yes my 8 year old and I both had flu last week! Glad that it is over and glad to see I'm not the only one who uses a 'puke bucket'.

BTW- got the cookbook yesterday. It is beautiful and am so glad I could some how help those children. They are in my prayers.

Oh what a comforting scene, really. Seeing your family together even in sickness. I'm so sorry it hit the whole family so hard, but the good that comes from it, is it's not dragged out. You all recover together!
Hope you're all up and running soon.
