Yikes! I did not realize how big they are and still with thier mamas.

Is the mama pregnant too?

Yup - time to cut those apron strings. Some kids just have a harder time growing up!

One difference of beef versus dairy--we separated calves and mothers about as soon as the colostrum stopped. Interesting to see how long sucking the teat lasts in a more natural environment.

They are almost the same size!! Oh dear!! We just weaned a filly that was getting close to a year. We normally don't let it get that far, but this year it was just crazy!! That poor mamma cow!!
